Gutter Position Page Layout
If you have previously set your document to the mirror margins book fold or two pages per sheet layout options word will automatically set the gutter margins to a position that matches the chosen layout.
Gutter position page layout. This process will cause a curve of the pages coming from the spine when the book is open. Word displays a list of potential margin settings. Word typically allows you to choose whether to position the gutter margin of your document at the top or left of the page. Click the page layout tab on the microsoft word ribbon and then select margins click custom margins at the bottom of the pop up window to open the page setup menu.

Gutter position is one of the settings that susy allows you to change for your layouts. Both have separate meanings.
Set the value in gutter to the desired size. Click the margins tool in the page setup group. It can be found in the global settings within the susy map. It is uncommon to use a gutter margin in a single sheet layout although word allows you to do that.
To set the gutter margin in word you follow these steps. These two products have binding types that are clamped and held together with glue. Word displays the margins tab of the page setup dialog box. Both are strips of white space the main difference is in size and location in regards to the page layout.
An alley is a space between columns of text on one page like in a newspaper that is used in page layout. A gutter is the section of the page that leads into the binding of perfect bound books and hard cover books.
